The following detail services during normal (ie., non-lockdown) times. Many of the services below are suspended until further notice because of the pandemic:



Holy Communion

A simple service with sermon but no hymns, lasting about 45 minutes


Parish Eucharist

With hymns, during term-time usually with choir, except on the first Sunday of the month, when there is a more informal Abbey Praise service


Holy Communion from The Book of Common Prayer

First Sunday of the month only



Choral in school term-time; Said Evensong with hymns outside term-time

At the 10.00am Parish Eucharist, activities for children are offered.

Parish Breakfast is served in the South Choir Aisle following the 8.30am Holy Communion service.

Tea, coffee and juice are served in the South Transept following the 10.00am service.

* Tots' Praise is a service full of songs, stories and fun for babies, toddlers and pre-school children and their carers. Brothers and sisters are welcome during their school holidays.

**These services are choral during term-time; they are replaced by Evening Prayer at 5.00pm outside term-time.

*** Christian Meditation meets most weeks of the year with a short break over August and Christmas.

If you are new to the Parish, please introduce yourself to one of the Sidespersons, so that we can be sure to welcome you properly.

If you are unable to join us for services in the Abbey, our Clergy and Lay Eucharistic Ministers may be able to bring Communion to you at home once a month. Please contact the Parish Office on (01434) 602031 if this would be helpful to you.
