Here lyeth interred the body
of Tho. Butler,
son of John Butler,
marchant adventurer,
who departed this life the 28th of Jan. 1647
aged 2 years, 3 months and 13 days

From Hexham Register: 1647/48, 19 Jan Thomas son of John Butler of Newcastle, merchant.
