‘North Prospect of Ye Conventual Church of Hextildenham’ HEXAB3006 This view of Hexham Abbey Church was drawn by Stephen Anderton and engraved by Daniel King for William Dugdale's Monasticon Anglicanum 1655. Frame 450 × 410mm This is the earliest view of the Abbey in which architectural details can be seen. Although much has been altered and the perspective is a bit awkward, there are many features which have not changed. How many can you see?
