New Young Adults Group at Hexham Abbey
Are you in your 20s or 30s and looking to connect with others, explore faith, and find a place where you belong?
Hexham Abbey is launching a new Young Adults Group, open to anyone in their 20s and 30s. Created and run by young adults themselves, the group aims to build friendships, deepen faith, and create a welcoming community rooted in the life of the Abbey.
Whether you’re new to church, have been attending for years, or are simply curious about faith, this is a chance to meet others at a similar stage of life, share experiences, and grow together. Our hope is to create a visible and supportive network where young adults can feel more connected, more rooted in their local church, and discover a deeper sense of belonging.
The group will meet regularly throughout the year with a variety of social activities, including:
- 24 July – BBQ at the Associate Priest’s house
- 14 August – Pub social at the Heart of Northumberland, Hexham (6.30pm)
- 12 September – Local hike ending at a pub
- 16 October – Pub social at the Heart of Northumberland, Hexham (6.30pm)
- 14 November – Evening bowling trip in Newcastle
- 12 December – Christmas drinks following the Hexham Abbey Christmas Market
These gatherings are designed to be relaxed, welcoming, and enjoyable, providing opportunities to make friends, share life, and encourage one another in faith.
If you’re looking for community, conversation, and connection, we’d love to welcome you.
