A fragment of a grave slab which now forms the lintel at the NE corner of the Chancel clerestory in the 1860 Dobson East End. The top and sides are laid in the stonework of the walls, hiding some of the face-down inscription.

Not mentioned by Hodges, but dating in its current use from Dobson's rebuilding of the east end.
Burial Register: Mary Briskoe, wife of Geo, 9 May 1733.
George Briscoe married Mary Ramsey at Ovingham 26/05/1698; they had Hannah b.1699 & Samuel b.1701, both at Ovingham. Mary died at Hexham 1733 and George vanished – not buried at Hexham or parishes round Hexham; perhaps he remarried. [ex info. N Lever]
