Jun 1909: “The Rector and Mrs Savage will be very pleased if the members and associates of the C.E. Men's Society will spend an informal evening in The Priory Grounds on Tuesday June 22nd, any time after 7 p.m. Simply an idle evening to walk and talk and smoke. The presence of all will be appreciated, but no formal invitation will be sent.” [Hexham Parish Magazine, June 1909, p.32]
