Slype interior glazed doors

Light oak double doors each with four glass panels (2 below and 2 above the push bar) Set in a glazed screen, within the mediæval arch, with a timber horizontal bar above the stone capitals and small skirts to column bases, securing side glass panels – with glazed arms of Viscount Allendale on the north, and of the Worshipful Company of Mercers on the south. Push bar panels have raised cross pieces in form of saltire for St Andrew (a feature shared by the door to the S Transept).
Allendale arms: Crest: A bull's head, erased, quarterly; on a viscount's helm; Motto: “FIDE·SED·CUI·VIDE” – Have confidence, but be cautious in whom you place it.
Mercers' arms [here monochrome]: Gules issuant from a bank of clouds a figure proper of the Virgin couped at the shoulders proper vested in a crimson robe adorned with gold the neck encircled by a jewelled necklace crined or and wreathed about the temples with a chaplet of roses alternately argent and of the first and crowned with a celestial crown, the whole on a bordure of clouds also proper; set on an esquire's helm (for a corporate body); Motto: “HONOR DEO” – Think and thank God.

To locate engraved blue glass panels on the slype entrance screen. … the “right-hand panel” depicting the woman facing straight ahead, the left-hand panel as bearing the arms of Viscount Allendale, the right – of the worshipful Company of Mercers … Faculty reg. no.4. To install automatic door operators at the points [in the slype] shown, in accordance with the letters of Mr C N Dallison of 16th February 2010 and 3rd November 2010 (with attachments) and with the quotation of DORMA UK LIMITED of 12th October 2010, site plan and photos supplied. Completion due by 19 Apr 2011. Completion Cert. signed 24 March 2011.
