“Presentation of Picture: Dr Routledge said he had been bequeathed a picture, which was a copy of The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci, and he believed it appropriate for display in the Abbey. It was agreed to accept the picture with thanks, and to decide later where it should be placed.” [PCC Min. 04/05/1971 p.57]
May 1971: “A framed print of The Last Supper – Leonardo da Vinci, 3′ × 2′ approx. was given by Dr Routledge and hung behind the Communion Vessels Table in the Sacristy. [Churchwardens Record HEXAB9535 p22]
