In 1737 Licence was granted to Thomas Andrewes, Lecturer of Hexham from 01/11/1717, to use a burying place an ancient stone vault scituate in the west part of the churchyard of Hexham. Sloughter Clarke was appointed Lecturer 26/02/1766. In 1888 standing against wall; laid flat on floor in 1908, south side immediately east of HEXAB1059. See also memorial plaque HEXAB1024.2.
