Mag., July 1941, p.4/5] Made originally for St Christopher's chapel, the Children's Corner established in the North bay of the North Transept in July 1941. [Hex.Par.Mag. Sep 1941] 1953: Death of Frances A Hawthorn age 76 registered 1Q1953 [Northumberland West, 1b p516] 2023: Abbey management apparently keen to dispose of the memorial kneeler front, despite the lack of a valid faculty. | ||||

| Kneeler pad with 7 panels from left. Fish, dog, house, boy with toys, tree & animals, cow, sun & moon. Background bluey/grey, separating & edging in dark yellow. Canvas work. Stands on 4 wooden batons but one baton missing. Made for the Children's Corner established in the North bay of the North Transept in 1941. |
